Privacy Policy

Word Meadow • Grobe Games LLC • Effective August 20, 2026

The short version:

We do not ask you for your name, email address, or any account. We do not run a server, and we do not receive your gameplay data. Almost everything Word Meadow knows about you stays on your device.

The one exception is advertising, which is provided by a third party and does involve data leaving your device. That is covered in its own section below, and you are asked for permission first.

Word Meadow is made by Grobe Games LLC ("we," "us"). This policy explains what happens to information when you play Word Meadow on iPhone or iPad.

What Stays on Your Device

The following never leaves your device:

Information Handled by Apple on Your Behalf

These features are optional and are operated by Apple, not by us. We do not receive your Apple ID, your name, or your contact details through any of them.

Notifications

Word Meadow can send you an optional daily reminder to play. These are local notifications scheduled on your device. We do not operate a push server and we do not collect a device push token. You can turn reminders off in the app's Settings, or in iOS Settings.

Advertising

Word Meadow shows ads, and this is the only part of the app where information about you leaves your device.

Ads are served by Google AdMob (Google LLC). To show ads, and to measure whether they worked, Google may collect:

Google's handling of this information is governed by its own privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy and by Google's advertising disclosures at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

We also use Apple's SKAdNetwork, a privacy-preserving attribution system that tells advertisers an install happened without identifying you.

We request that only content rated suitable for general audiences ("G") is served in Word Meadow.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some privacy laws, including the California CCPA/CPRA, treat sharing an advertising identifier with an advertising network for personalised advertising as a "sale" or "share." You can opt out of that sharing using the tracking control described below, and — where applicable — the ad privacy choices described under Your Choices in the EEA and UK.

Your Choice About Tracking

The first time it is relevant — after you finish your first level, not when you open the app — iOS asks whether Word Meadow may track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you decline, the advertising identifier is not shared and you will see less relevant ads rather than fewer ads. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

If you buy Remove Ads, ads stop being shown — except if you choose to watch an ad for an in-game reward.

Your Choices in the EEA and UK

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, Word Meadow presents a consent form, provided through Google's User Messaging Platform, before any ad is requested. You choose there what Google and its advertising partners may do with your information. If you do not consent, ads are not requested.

You can reopen that form and change your choices at any time from Settings → Privacy → Ad Privacy Choices inside the app.

Children

Word Meadow is not directed to children under 13, is not listed in the App Store Kids Category, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will address it.

How Long Information Is Kept

Information stored on your device stays until you delete it or delete the app. iCloud saves are kept in your iCloud account and are managed by you through your Apple ID. Data held by Google is subject to Google's own retention policy.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live (for example the EEA/UK under the GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of personal information, and to object to certain processing.

Because we do not collect or hold personal information about you ourselves, in most cases there is nothing for us to retrieve or delete — removing the app removes the data. For information held by Google, use the tracking control and the ad privacy choices described above, and see Google's own privacy policy.

To ask us anything about this, contact us below.

Changes to This Policy

If we change how the app handles information — for example when we change advertising provider — we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date below.
